Hand in Hand with Jesus!

Finally Home

When engulfed by the terror of the tempestuous sea,
Unknown waves before you roll;
At the end of doubt and peril is eternity,
Though fear and conflict seize your soul.

But just think of stepping on shore-And finding it Heaven!
Of touching a hand-And finding it God's!
Of breathing new air-And finding it celestial!
Of waking up in glory-And finding it home!

When surrounded by the blackness of the darkest night,
O how lonely death can be;
At the end of this long tunnel is a shining light,
For death is swallowed up in victory!

But just think of stepping on shore-And finding it Heaven!
Of touching a hand-And finding it God's!
Of breathing new air-And finding it celestial!
Of waking up in glory-And finding it home!

Alma's Hand - Now hand in hand with Jesus
The lyrics of this song came to mind as we received the phone call last evening, 12:24 a.m. Portugal time, telling us that Rod's mom had entered Heaven 4 minutes earlier.  We are grateful for her life, her love for us, and mostly for her secure eternity in Heaven with our Savior.
She loved to talk, and now that ability has been returned to her in full - better than she ever could here on earth!  What a blessing to realize that one day we, too, can have the assurance of walking in Heaven, hand in hand with our Savior.

If you are reading this and do not have this assurance, PLEASE contact us.  We would love to share with you the hope of our salvation in our Lord Jesus Christ.
